Unique Educational Experience at Educity Iskandar Stadium & Sport Complex

Our fellow students of Diploma in Sports Studies took the opportunity to combine study with travel experience by organizing a study tour in the Indoor Arena, Educity Sport Complex, Jalan Persiaran campus, Science City Educity Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, Johor on February 16, 2017.

The Sports Complex which was constructed in February 2010 has a seating capacity of 14,000, with them main purpose to house sporting facilities for the local community. The EduCity Stadium & Sports Complex comprises of a world-class football cum rugby field, a 400-metre athletic track, an aquatic centre complete with Olympic-size swimming and diving pool, and an Indoor Arena with multi-courts for badminton, basketball and futsal.

This study tour certainly helped to expose our students to the stadium and sports equipment used in formal and informal sports activities and to recognize sports functions particularly as a tool for social inclusion.
