Johor Bahruor Religious District Offices nearby. - Applicants must be the children of Johor as ta’rif thereon which have settled at least three (3) years in a row in the State of Johor and pay zakat (nature and properties) in the State of Johor.
- Applicants must not get help / donations / loans than any other party.
- Only those who have the right according to Islamic laws and the rules and conditions laid down by MAIJ are eligible to apply and get help MAIJ.
- Applicants are responsible before God for any falsification of information and documents provided.

THE NATIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION FUND CORPORATION (PTPTN)
This is a type of loan provided by the Malaysian government to assist students financially in public as well as private institutions of higher learning.
Eligibility
Applicants Must:
- Be a Malaysian Citizen
- Not exceeding 45 years of age on date of Application
- Possess a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least three (3) credits
- Possess other recognized certificates to qualify for a degree programme: STPM, A-Levels, University Foundation, Local Matriculation or Recognized Diploma.
- IPTS students must obtain the Accreditation Certificate from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The course and Accreditation Certificate approval period must still be valid on the date of Application
- The remaining period of study upon application must exceed one (1) year
- Have no sponsors (ex. MARA or JPA) or scholarship(s)
Other Criteria
- For students applying for the second time, loans extended earlier by PTPTN must be settled in full prior to a fresh Application
- Students who have received PTPTN loan through previous colleges / universities but have left or have not completed their course, are required to terminate the contract and make full payment with PTPTN before a new application can be made
- As of Jan 2012, it is compulsory to open a SSPN (Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional) account if students want to apply for a PTPTN loan
Application and Submission
For PTPTN applications the students need to prepare and submit the following documents. The document must be A-4 sized photocopies that have been certified as true copies:
- Applicant’s Identification Card (IC)
- SSPN Account Deposit Slip / SSPN Card
- SPM Certificate
- The first page of applicant’s bank account book. For those without a bank account, please open an account with CIMB and provide the account statement from the same bank
- Parents’ Pay slip (the latest month) / Government Pensioner’s Card / Parents’ J/EA/EC/BA Form / Income Certification Form
- Certificate of Death (if parents are deceased) or Statutory Declaration (if parents cannot be traced)
- Confirmation Letter from the Welfare Department if applicant / mother / father / guardian are receiving monthly payment from the agency
- Letter of Acceptance from INSTEDT. (Will be provided by the Institution)
- All photocopied documents and the PTPTN Declaration Form can only be from a certified true copy & witnessed by:
- Principal / School Headmaster/Headmistress/Senior Assistant of Student Affair (Government Schools only)
- Professional and Management Group of Government Officers (formerly from Category A)
- Law Enforcement Officers / Commissioners of Oath
- Justice of Peace / Government State Secretariat Committees ( State Executives)
- Village Penghulu/ Village Headman ( Penggawa) / Longhouse Head ( Tuai Rumah) / Tribal Leader ( Ketua Kaum) /Commissioned District
EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND (EPF) (ACCOUNT II) WITHDRAWAL SCHEME FOR EDUCATION
This scheme allows Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members to withdraw from Account II to pay the fees to undertake further studies in local or overseas institutions.
Eligibility
Eligible EPF members may withdraw the maximum amount of the total fees or all balances in Account II, whichever is lower. Members may apply for withdrawal in each academic year provided that there is balance left in Account II.
How to apply
Before applying for withdrawal under this scheme, EPF members are required to check the balance in Account II and obtain a letter from EPF that specifies the amount that can be withdrawn. Members can apply by completing the KWSP 9H (AHL) form and submit together with supporting documents.

THE SOCIAL SECURITY ORGANISATION EDUCATION FUND (SOCSO)
The Social Security Organization (SOCSO) provides social security protection by social insurance including medical and cash benefits, provision of artificial aids and rehabilitation to employees to reduce suffering and to provide a financial guarantee and protection to the family. It is commonly known in the Malay term as PERKESO or Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial.
One of the benefits, which SOCSO provides for Malaysians is the education benefit, which comes in the form of a loan disbursed out to dependent children who are recipients of a monthly benefit for Dependent’s Benefit, Survivor’s Pension, children of an employee who are recipients of a monthly benefit of Permanent Disablement and Invalidity Pension.
Although this benefit is in the form of a loan, it can, however, be converted into a scholarship if the child obtains excellent result. This fund is for the benefits of SOCSO members / contributors in the form of loan given to dependent children who are in receipt of a monthly benefit for:
- Dependent’s Benefit
- Survivor’s Pension or children of an employee who are in receipt of a monthly benefit for Permanent Disablement or Invalidity Pension.
Eligibility
Applicants must be dependent children of an employee who are contributors to the SOCSO insurance schemes, receiving Invalidity Pension, receiving periodic, or permanent disablement. Applicants can also be children of contributors who died while in employment because of injuries, or died before reaching their 55th year. The applicants must be below 21 years of age, unmarried at the time of application and pursuing degree, diploma or certificate courses recognised by the Education Ministry. This loan is given to deserving students who have done well in their examinations and are admitted to institutes of higher learning.
The following persons are not eligible for the loan: siblings of the insured, matriculation/foundation/scholar students.
Loan coverage
SOCSO is offering educational loans, amounting to as much as RM100,000, to children of members who are in receipt of monthly invalidity pensions.
The borrower is required to repay the loan via monthly instalments once the person has completed the study programme.
